Christine Dumas Pilon of Batoche, Saskatchewan

Ambrose Pilon from Vankleek Hill, Ontario at his first communion around 1929Histories, whether they are of a people, of a town, of a country or of a family, histories are based on a collection of facts.  These are usually believed to be true and certain.  They are quite often found in record books and libraries, and stored away in dusty cabinets and boxes, only to be brought out on rare occasions by painstakingly patient researchers.

We have all, at one time or another, undertaken much research into a variety of archives, sifting through stacks of information and noting references to Pilons in areas of interest to our inquiries.  Most of us simply file away these notes and allow the next family historian to "discover" these sources of valuable information.  We have decided to make our work available to others who share our interests through this web page.  In addition to providing this information, we also provide the sources of these facts, which can be verified, cross-checked and perhaps mined for more elements of our past.  Our greatest hope is that others will find these files of use.
