Medals and Decorations

Veterans Affairs Canada provides information regarding the medals and decorations that soldiers of the Great War would have earned by either their participation in the war, or specific acts which were beyond the call of duty.  While the subject of medals for bravery is of great interest, my research has not revealed this to have been the case with any of the Pilons whose attestation records I have examined.  Rather, the Pilons of WWI would have qualified and received some of the following Badges or Medals (by clicking on them, you will be brought to an appropriate page at Veterans Affairs Canada who so kindly have allowed us to use the images below):
