| c. 1927-Arthur James Pillow (1906-30), eldest son of Arthur James Pillow (1882-1948) and Rosie May Wildish.
There is a puzzle over Arthur's death. He was serving in the Royal Air Force in Aboukir, Egypt when he died. His army record states "Death by drowning". Army records were contacted for further details but they couldn't (or wouldn't) provide any. They did confirm, however, that there was no inquest, which was strange. Bearing in mind that his brother, Ronald, died of a sudden heart attack at the age of only 39, maybe both suffered from a genetic heart problem. Younger brother Stan and sister Ethel May Pillow lived to reasonable ages. Arthur was given a military funerall and is buried at Alexandria.
