As well as a reputation as a poet, which earned him the prestigious Athanase-David of Québec Award, this Montrealer has exercised, for more than 30 years, an eminent role in the intellectual orientation of cultural programming at Radio-Canada and has played an important part in the presidency of the Académie canadienne-française.
