Alfred S. Tait

Alfred S. (for "joe") is the class representative from the distant Maritimes.  At heart a lover of peace, we feel sure that his birth in Marysville, N.B., on March 11, 1918, was one of the deciding factors of the Armistice which followed.  Came the day, however, when Joe realized the world needed strong men to protect the innocent, so he quit his job of moulding the local public school kids into peaceful citizens, kissed his wife and family goodbye and made his way to Moncton where he joined our ranks on July 16.  After graduating from the Provincial Normal School, Joe went to the University of New Brunswick.  At any distance up to 100 yards we can read what his sweater proudly proclaims, that he was Captain of the Martime Junior Baseball Champios, 1937, --- and was also a member of Eastern Canada Interscholastic Basketball Team.  Long married men like Joe have no youthful hobbies (we hope) so we'll just list Reconnaissance as his present fad.
