He enlisted in the Royal
Canadian Air Force in July, 1941. He graduated from the Fingal,
Ont. training school in April, 1942, with the highest standing in his
class and there received his Observer's "Wing". He then proceeded
to Charlottetown, P.E.I. and to Debert, N.S. where he was attached to
31
Operational Training Unit. Following a flight from that base on
the night of September 12th his aircraft failed to return and is
presumed to have crashed at sea on September 13th, 1942.
